Greetings peevers.

Mrs J and I are back from our latest travels and pleased to be home for a while now. More about the recent jaunt later, but first I want to thank Bayarea4 for standing in and peeving away.

Our recent vacation was a mixed bag- some great, some not so great things happened, and one annoyance was the almost inevitable delay- the main one being once we were in the aeroplane and then stuck on the tarmac for over two hours.

How about you- ever been stuck trying to get from A to B? Surely you have! Then let's hear about it, because the POTW is;

Travel delays.

I'm going to be a bit of a tease.

Rather than tell you where we were, try working it out for yourselves. If you could please put your answer in the SHOW/HIDE box.

I'll post some more pics later.

Travel delays.

There have been a few delayed flights nut nothing major.

The big one for us was a car breakdown on a Saturday night in a small town in Oklahoma. No mechanics around, garages closed until Monday. Had to hole up in a rinky dink motel then limp the car about 100 miles into Oklahoma City. Lost 3 days of our vacation.

Spain?

I would freak out if I had to be on the tarmac for more than an hour! I would have a hard time staying calm.

Nice pics, I have no idea where that is, but beautiful.

We sat on the tarmac for two hours when we went to Scotland. I had my head phones with me and was able to plug in and watch a whole movie while we sat there. At least I wasn't bored. Stiff by the time we got out of the plane and exhausted, but not bored.

Travel delays.
I’ve been stuck on a trip when bad weather hit, a snow storm with rain, ice and snow blew into the area. No one was able to travel for several days in the area because they didn’t have (never had) the equipment to deal with this type of weather. After days of not having the airport opened up because of ice on the runway, we decided to rent a car and drive north out of the area to another location where the airport serviced the runways and provided flights out and back home. What a nightmare for travelers who are stuck due to weather.

I'm going with Rome

Some interesting stories there peevers.

Fog may well be set to delay flights from the London airports tomorrow.

Miss J had big problems at the New Year heading back to Italy, though she did get to share a flight with Nicholas Cage when she finally flew out a day later!

Now then- so far your guesses as to where we went are way out, though I can understand the reasoning.
