Good morning posters.

Believe it or not we have another three day weekend here- mind you, so do you!

Oh, and of course schools will have closed for the long recess.

Hmm- does that mean that prices for vacations and so on go up? Of course there is the supply/demand price equation, but maybe some price increases on this and other services and products go beyond this?

How about this for a peeve;

Unreasonable seasonal pricing.

How about unreasonable pricing in general? Fuel in specific!

Fewer decent paying jobs and more cost just filling the fridge and pantry.

Something needs to change.

Yup...gasoline is bound to start creeping up for Summer.

How come we never get an end of season sale on gas?

If only our government didn't make so much money on gas taxes They should give us a gas tax free day

We are complaining here about gas but I bet Jezer has been paying a lot more for years

That's because he has had Obamacare for years. Those prices are coming to a gas station near you

Good peeve, Jezer. Gas her is about $1.40 per litre or $5.60 a gallon. I am so thankful that I can get by with a car that gives me pretty decent mileage. Everytime I see the price of gas go up, I want to scream. The oil companies are really socking it to us.

In answer to a couple of requests (thanks) the average cost of regular gas over here, using the latest $ to £ conversion of 0.606, is $2.24 per litre or $8.48 per US gallon.

I think around 60% of that is tax.

That is one big reason why many drive smaller fuel efficient cars- ah, I hear my daughter arriving in her Toyota Aygo!
