Put the scary thing in the parentheses (---). I don't want to see any remarks like "Nothing scares me!" If nothing scares you, then don't post. If something scares someone you know and you think it's funny, don't post anything here.

This thread is just for folks who are haunted by something or someone or a thought that haunts them.

Tornado. I survived the Xenia Tornado of 1974. I was driving home from a friends house when it started. I didn't know it was a tornado, didn't know the signs and didn't know what to do. The whole experience haunts me.

Eritrea in the mid 80s, a short sting for MSF, rebels with guns holding us at gunpoint trying to force us to surrender food aid. We didn't.
Bravest man I ever met was a French Doctor who told them "No".

I hate to admit this since I am older and wiser, but I did the worst possible thing. I stopped the car under a big tree and waited it out. Yes, I know that officially makes me "the village idiot who lived..."

Suddenly blackened skies brrr. Sends a chill down my spine.

How awful! I trot out into the yard to watch, from under the trees. We must be related

The heartbreaks my innocent little children went through in the process of growing up haunt me.

Every village has one...

I should have clarified for those who have never experienced being in a tornado. I sought shelter from the golf-ball-sized hail shooting out of the sky onto the borrowed car I was driving. How the windows in that car escaped being smashed is beyond me. My car was in the shop getting a new coat of paint.

(snakes) haunt me.
I have dreams about them . Ever since childhood if I dream a snake bites someone that person dies. If it comes close to biting a person something happens. I had a dream the night before an operation I had that a snake almost bit me and I almost died after surgery. I HATE snakes.
