Many years ago, I bought a 16" Voltbike. It was/is so nice, cute and foldable. I love it. Still have it.
Then I bought two E-bike conversion kits sets. I converted my two 26" regular bikes to two electric bikes: one with regular wheels and one with snow wheels. Now the one with regular wheel in the front that is bent badly. I brought it to the bike shop, they said they could not true it because the spokes are too short (much shorter than the spokes on non-electric wheel). The spokes cannot be adjusted a little bit long her or shorter to make the rim straight. I feel so sad. I put so much time into taking the regular [front] wheel off and installing the electric wheel on. I cannot do that now anymore, not to mention money, just too much work. Very tired.
I'm attempting to buy a new 26" electric bike. My husband says I'm crazy. He said "Why do you want so many electric bikes?" LOL. I agree with him. So, I'm trying to control myself not to buy another one. More chance is I won't buy it. I need to listen to him when he is right.
Thanks for telling your story. It reminded me that I want to convert my recumbent to electric. Then I went to the Voltbike website and saw some pretty cool bikes. Maybe I'll go back to upright although it'll be weird because I've been riding my recumbent since 1995. Again, thanks for the information.

Thanks for the rep. Take time to find a good one you really like and enjoy it. You can look on Amazon and many other websites too.
I still like my 16" Voltbike. But if I had a chance to do it over again, I would take time to look for a good and cool 26" electric one. 16" is like for a kid. I was shopping emotionally.
