Mornin’ all! Hope you’re having a great weekend and enjoying the last few days of MAY 2011 As you’re standing around the BBQ later today throwing back a few cold ones, here’s a little factoid to mull over . . . . Didja Know?
During the reign of Catherine I of Russia, the rules for parties stipulated that no man was to get drunk before 9 o'clock and ladies weren't to get drunk at any hour.
The women couldn't get drunk????
Glad that wasn't the law when I was single.
How else was I supposed get a woman in the sack??
Certainly my charming personality didn't help.

That's exactly what I thought.
Maybe that law was enacted precisely because too many women were getting drunk and throwing caution to the winds.

I didn't know that one. What gets me is that the decision was made by a woman....Catherine I! I assume she was trying to protect the women from being taken advantage of by men but that sure made it a lousy party for the ladies!
