It's easy to forget all the good things in life, easy to complain. And it's a bit fun to complain. But sometimes it's good to take a moment to bring to mind some of the things in life that we're grateful for. Large or small. It coud be something big or important - a saved life. Something small and seemingly insignificant - finding a pen to write with when you need one. Whatever.

Anyway it's been said we should think of at least one thing we're grateful for each day. But it's difficult to keep a diary or something like that to do so. Maybe this thread will help, and we can share in each others gratitude. You're welcome to do that in this thread any day you'd like for as many days as you'd like.

What are you grateful for?

Well the first thing that comes to mind is Magnum Mike, his moniker is "Attitude of Gratitude". Works for me.

Today I am grateful for the plow blade on the 4-wheeler, my hubby and our hard work. We cleared the snow and got out today

I'm grateful for a neighbor who so enjoyed our Christmas tree lights that she sent me flowers as a "thank-you" for leaving them up so long this year. That's the first (and likely the last) time I've ever gotten flowers for procrastinating a household chore, and I felt a whole lot less guilty about taking the tree down on Groundhog Day knowing that she got so much enjoyment out of looking at it for an extra month.

Sometimes it's the small pleasures that help make life enjoyable. Had an easy work day, and am now sitting here with a hot mug of tea, relaxing in my comfy chair, and enjoying the cool of the evening as a train wails mournfully off in the distance.. Somebody even gave me a bag of cookies today. It doesn't get much better than free cookies

I am grateful every day to have a roof over my head, clean water and enough to eat. I am also grateful to be living in a country that is at peace. So many in this world don't have these things.

Nice idea for a thread!

I'm grateful to a kind colleague who organised a lovely get together yesterday, and we even had lovely weather!
