I hate looking at a tall building let alone climbing a tall building. So I hate heights over the fourth floor.

NYPD Responds To Climbing Chaos.

WCBS: In the past 24 hours, two men climbed the New York Times building -- stopping hundreds of people in their tracks. So what happens now? What is the city doing to prevent this from happening again?

Not afraid of heights, when I was a kid used to walk across from the roof of 15-story building to the roof of another building on a 4X6 stretched between them and thought nothing of it........

As a youngster, my cousins and I would climb just about anything and never a problem. Now, forget it. Nope, no heights for me.

Alain Robert used the new 52-story New York Times building as a ladder to the sky to deliver his message about global warming. Then just seven hours later, Renaldo Ray Clarke of Brooklyn tried the same stunt to bring attention to the issue of childhood malaria.
Yeah... and getting arrested is not the way to bring attention to these two issues.

I wonder how they built that 'walkway' at the Grand Canyon. did they dangle from a helicoptor? Did they use 400' ladders? Did they have wings? Then I question the durability, with no posts, no thank you, Im not missing anything important.
Oops the sprinklers here at home just kicked on (they're on timers), gonna go run through them really quick. Be right back!

Seems to me they need to keep the building polished with WD40.

And on the bridge, well, if it's all the same to you, I'll pass. But to answer the question of how it was constructed - look here Get a bird’s-eye view of the Grand Canyon - US and Canada - MSNBC.com

It's made of steel and it has braces/posts dug deep into the rock some 50 feet away from the edge of the canyon.
