SHAWNEE, Kan. (June 10) - A suburban Kansas City man accidentally fired a 2.5-inch nail into the top of his head, but says he now feels fine after a doctor used a claw hammer to remove it. The mishap occurred Friday while George Chandler, of Shawnee, and a friend were working on a backyard project.

"......If he gets into an argument with his wife, she can now really say "You think like somebody with a hole in his head!..." Another 'go to your room', Mike!
I heard about that on the 'idiot files' here on the local radio station. It was the talk of the store a couple of days ago, lol.

I recall seeing a similar story here about another person who did the same thing, and he survived.
This made me think, is it even possible for somebody to shoot himself in the side of the head with a nailgun? Assuming the guy wasn't drunk, wasn't high on drugs, and didn't want to commit suicide, he would have had to aim the gun squarely at the side of his head!

And push on it hard enough to release the safety. When I saw this on TV my first thought was he and his buddy were in a nail gun fight and he lost.
Why did the doctor have a clawhammer? just incase someone came in with a nail in their head? wow
LOL.. A clawhammer? Just the thought of using a clawhammer to pull a nail out of somebody's head sounds grotesque.. but I guess it can't be as bad as the nail going in at the speed a nailgun fires it!

LOL.. Modern day showdown at the OK corral.
