WELLINGTON, New Zealand - The owner of a New Zealand cafe that mistakenly served dishwashing liquid as mulled wine has been fined for causing emotional harm to two women, court officials said Monday.
If the viscosity and bouquet of dishwashing liquid aren't enough of a tipoff, what else is there? Surely a bad mistake on both the server's and the imbibers' parts (nitwits) but the NZ courts are looking pretty good to me on this one with damages being in the hundreds and not millions of dollars.
