How can Stacy stop reading into what her mom says. In other words how does she stop reading between the lines and take what is said at face value. Give details when you answer. A few examples of what her mom would say:
(1) Aren’t you going to be hot in that blouse. It is going to be a hot summer day
(2) Well what you are wearing is not nice. I cant let you go out of the house like that”*she said this when they were fighting
(3) People should wear what is appropriate for the weather” she said this when Stacy said well what would happen if I wore a material that might not be cool for the summer
Stacy doesn’t take the comments at face value. She hears things that are not said. For example
(1) Her mother does not think Stacy knows how to dress
(2) If Stacy’s mom doesn’t like one outfit then Stacy hears it as her mother hates how Stacy dresses all the time
(3) If Stacy wears a blouse that might be long sleeve on a hot day her mother will make her feel that it is in appropriate to wear.
This is an odd post. I'd guess I'd tell Stacy to just dress exactly like her mother - to the point of tossing out all of her own clothes and borrowing her mother's. Then, she couldn't possibly go wrong, right?
why do your question always sound like essay questions from composition class, where we have to give examples?
and you are asking the same questions over and over--notice how no one is giving you the answers you want to hear?
i realize i have answered you a few times now by telling you how anoying thee scenerios are. but i have never given any constructive critsism. so here it is:
instead of writing a play, just be honest. make it like a rant. say, "my mom is constantly telling me she doesnt think i dress appropraietly. she is getting on my nerves." or you can say: "can you believe this woman came and told me i look fat! the nerve"....
something along those lines.
Phoenix landed on Mars!!!! It's at the polar region where it's really cold. Do you think:
(1) Phoenix is going to be cold in that region. It doesn't have enough covering for the climate.
(2) The scientists should have added a nice parka for the poor thing.
(3) If Phoenix refuses to wear appropriate outer skins then it will just have to suffer through the Martian weather and not complain.
(4) This post is not as stupid as I think it is
