Very strange...the main characters in the new sitcom on BBC America named Gavin and Stacey just about mirrors a past relationship of mine in real life.

I started watching it and thought to myself...holy cow, this reminds me of a relationship I had four years ago! After watching an episode, I started thinking I made a big mistake letting her go (well, I just wasn’t ready for a relationship, plus she had a son)...I haven't seen her in 4 years.

Here are the major similarities:

1) Stacey looks like her
2) I look similar to Gavin (well, I'm in the same ballpark)
3) Stacey dressed like her...a slight puckish look
4) I was the same age as Gavin when I met her (she was 23)
5) We met at work
6) Felt like I had known her my whole life....we really clicked
7) Her and I have similar personalities to Gavin and Stacey

Has this ever happened to anyone else....watch a TV show that totally reminds you of your real life?

No TV show is going to produce a show that mirrors my life "bored and boring".

Anyone remember the old ABC show "Soap" with all the dysfunctional, wacky characters? Well, there are plenty of people from both sides of our family that would blend right in on that show.

Any TV Shows mirror your real life?
Hmmm... Cops? Since I always get in trouble here!

Seriously, I'd prefer to not watch TV that much, besides my life is real, and most TV shows are fake and too far-fetched to mirror real life.
