Sure, being Irish and living there i have never heard 90% of the saying that people come up to me and say. I always love the reaction on their face when somebody comes up to me and says a weird saying, and i dont know what theyre talking about.

Thumbs up LOL--The Irish

'The Irish' just say what is on their mind.

Then do what comes naturally.

Broken nose, broken hand...

I like this one:

'May those who love us, love us.

And for those who don't love us,

May God turn their hearts.

And if he can not turn their hearts,

May he turn their ankles,

So we may know them by their limping.

May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.'

Question --

Has this forum ever considered adding Colors--ie ? the text would appear in green. Not really necessary and undoubtedly an extra expense somewhere.

Simple is fine with me--having been to a few forums. Some allowing lengthy signatures--avatars and graphics. Wasted on me. I read the messages--sometimes look at pics--go on my way.

If the links are reactivated--that will be good.

Simplify Your Life---the experts say. So much that is not truly necessary in life --online and RL.

What color of green would you like, you have a few to choose from.

I have clicked the icons at the top of the page/message--no colors?

If you have ever been to Compuserve--that is where I posted last.

We could change fonts, colors--all that. Select a pic --from My PIcs--the system just inserted it. That is the type of PC user I am.

If the system can't do it--I am not going to bother with it --right now.

I like all shades of green. Very good color for me.

A bit of Celtic blood--reddish brown hair/brown eyes. Blue green is my favorite color.

My father had this sign over his desk - "An Irishman can tell you to go to h***(a hot place) and make you look forward to the trip".

That must have been something --living in Ireland.

I read 'The Red Feather' or door--something like that Maeve Binchey--fiction/Ireland.

Great country. Plenty of problems. sigh

Yeats knew of what he spoke.

Robert Burns/Robert L. Stevenson--Scots but they pretty much said the same.

Wonder why we don't read what these intelligent/enlightened people wrote and try to avoid the potholes in the road of life?

'Some' do--and I am thankful for that.
