Sales people who don't respond to a customer's request. Case in point... I am a tall woman. I like to sleep in a big man's shirt as I did when I was little and my dad's shirts were about 10 times too big, but ever so comfortable. As an adult, it gets a little tricky.
I went to a Big and tall man's store and asked the salesman for the biggest shirt in the store. The salesman didn't budge, but asked, what size are you looking for? I repeated that I wanted the biggest shirt in the store. He again asked me what size I needed.
At this time, I could have told this salesman that I wanted a very big shirt for myself to use as a sleep shirt, but that was none of his business. I left the store without a shirt because he insisted he could only help me if I told him what size I was looking for.
Why can't salesmen just give the customer what they ask for?
Hmm. I shop in those stores all the time, AliceT. Next time say you are buying a gift for your son Kareem Abdul Jabbarski, who is 7 foot 4 inches and you don't know the size.
But don't get 3x or 4x, those shirts are round as a barrel, and you probably don't want that.
My pet peeve, which I shall name boo boo, is when I try and rep someone here on cdf, I click the rep after writing some smart remarck the computer just sits there. So after a few seconds I click it again and then I get the:
Automated solicitation calls! http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/4.gif (broken link) The kind that repeat four or five times a day with no option to remove a number. http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/4.gif (broken link)
Those pop up advertisements that don't actually come up as a new window but just appear over whatever page you're viewing so that you have to search in the fine detail for about five minutes to find the cleverly disguised 'close' button. Grr.
People who stand and chat in the doorway of the store. Even peevier, the same people who look at you as if you're the one in the wrong when you ask them to move!
Oh tet tea-that hit a nerve. Last week, at the exit, a very large woman just stopped and started chatting with another woman. The other was facing me the whole time-now the line behind me is growing. Not even the decency to tell lard bottom to just move over so others could exit.
My pet peeve is about people who are always late, and blame it on the kids. Hello.....I have kids. You get ready that much earlier. These people are ALWAYS late, even when we depend on them. For professional pictures.....Birthday dinners........AND right now while I am waiting on them as babysitters so I can go out. Sitting pretty and going nowhere at the moment!
