Police in Utah say the man wanted to steal vehicle for drive to Washington.
SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah - What kind of mileage does that thing get? Police in South Salt Lake, Utah, have arrested a man they say tried to steal a fire truck so he could drive home — to Washington — for Christmas.

LOL.. stealing a fire truck so he can go see his mother in Washington... It could have been easier if he used Greyhound! 
I can't help but wonder about people like that, how far did he expect to travel with something as obtrusive as a fire truck, and a stolen one?

If he wanted to get away, he shouldn't of honked the horn and alerted the firefighters that their $500,000 truck was being stolen!
