WASHINGTON (AP) - A bus driver thought it would be funny to take the bite out of McGruff the crime dog by punching the mascot, but police said children who witnessed the stunt were horrified. Metro bus driver Shawn Brim, 38, climbed off a bus, adjusted his side view mirrors and then punched officer Tyrone Hardy, who was handing fliers to children on a Washington street while dressed as the crime dog, police said.

The funnier part, to me, was he punched an officer...

alcohol abuse? check
drug abuse? check (maybe)
punching a cop? check check
laughing inside the cell house for being a lush tweaker with an assaulting an officer charge? priceless

He must have been having a bad day!! Or maybe McGruff caught him breaking the law way back when and the bus driver was relaliating, haha...but how dumb. And do do it in front of children? Geez. Sounds like a really intelligent guy! Let's go suckerpunch the dog, heh heh. Why do I hear Beavis and Butthead laughter as backgound noise here?
