Seems that there’s always something during the day that makes it a little more special after you do something about an issue first. Usually you don’t want to do it ~ but you just have to.
Today while driving home from running several errands, I pull my truck up to the left lane of a busy intersection. This is one of those very busy and heavily traveled streets in town. Five lanes each of all four directions, three lanes go straight and two left turn lanes that are equipped with “left turn arrows”. Yeah,,,, left turn arrows always helps move traffic. Except when the idiot in front of you who seems to be more happy entering text into the cell phone while waiting for the green turn arrow to come on!
It was so obvious seeing the cell phone in her right hand while on the steering wheel and her left hand busy entering information. Well ,,,,, the light changes and the “green arrow” comes on ~ she continues to enter “text”. ,,,, a moment of time is allowed and I couldn’t help myself. BLOW the hell out of my horn and continue with it stuck in the ON condition while she is trying to figure out what’s happening. I noticed the other drivers in the cars to my right “laughing” and shacking their heads YES,,,,,
The young girl driving the car texting,,,,, gets the idea and starts to move forward into the left turn now,,,, but she can’t help herself ~ she has to stick her hand out the window and give me the famous hand signal to let me know that she isn’t happy any longer about the sound of my horn blowing.
I seldom use the horn unless it’s to alert someone of an unsafe and warning issue that is about to happen. However I couldn’t control my desire to honk to move it while she was texting on a cell phone. LOVED every minute of the blowing horn sound as did the other drivers waiting for her to move her car.
I only feel bad for her because I don't believe she understands that you don't drive in traffic and text message with the cell phone.

LOL.. Let me guess Aksarben, that "famous hand signal" wasn't to indicate she was making a right turn, was it?
I know where you're coming from my friend, if these people have a very urgent text message they need to send, I wish they would just use a little common sense, and some courtesy, and just pull off the road into a parking lot, then they can send as many text messages as they need to! Or better yet, wait until they get home, so they're not hindering traffic.
By the way, was this busy intersection somewhere along the Camelback, or Cactus/Thunderbird Corridors?

too funny! Please tell me you drive a BIG TRUCK with a LOUD Horn! To bad you didn't have a nice 18 wheeler's airhorn.
I always, just like the rest of you I would guess, are always seeing people on the phone talking texting etc. Running red lights stop signs etc. I have even been hit making a left turn by some chic who was on the cell phone. She said I was in the wrong lane and she had pictures to prove it and I was lieing to the insurance company. Now how the heck she had photos while she was driving and hitting me, I have not one clue... but I guess she was lieing since the insurance company believed me. HA!
Anyways.... good and proper horn usage there.
Wasn't George Carlin who said that we all should have those pop dart guns with a little flag that says "idiot" on it. Ae get to shoot idiot drivers with the stickie darts. The cops then could pull someone over with too many flags for just being a Idiot and give them a ticket.

I highly doubt the text was "very urgent." It was probably something like, "OMG! WTF! I was ROTFLMAO!"
Some people should not be allowed to use cell phones.

Funny thing was “her hand signal wasn’t indicating a left turn” although that’s all she wanted to do ,,,,, well while she was trying to text at the same time. I don’t think the stiff erect middle finger is a signal for left turn anyway.
The not so funny thing was (now that I think about it) yesterday only 24 hours earlier a major accident took one driver to the hospital and the other driver the mortuary and had traffic closed for several hours at this exact intersection only 500 feet west, because one driver was turning “left” into a business entrance. Five or six city police cars were there to photograph the accident and acquire all of the vital measurements needed when someone dies on the street.
Sorry,,, I was only driving my little pickup ~ however the horn is loud enough. I too wish I’d of had a big air-horn like an 18 wheeler. Oh,,, I noticed that she had California plates on the car and she was blond if any of that means anything? LOL

You can buy air horns for autos at many auto parts stores.
One time a young womanl, gave me the middle digit signal, I asked her if she was propositioning me. That sent her on her way.
