[b]Today's Question(s):

How far would you drive/travel for a favorite anything ? I would go to New Orleans in a heartbeat to get a muffaletta at Central Grocery in the French Quarter...then go to a drive through daiquiri shop for a cold banana daiquiri, lol!

Bonus Question:

What was the last thing that "annoyed you" ? My alarm clock going off at 7am.

Do you have a favorite expression you use that pretty much lets folks know you are "annoyed" ? Sure do...don't know how to describe it though!

Extra Credit Question:

List 3 of your favorite things to do outside when the weather is really nice.
Sitting on the porch, taking a walk, bike riding

Just for Fun:[/u]

What song makes you want to get up and dance when you hear it played?
Nothing, since I am a terrible dancer!

Today's Question(s):

(this could be food, a Doctor, tax guy etc)

About an hour....not much more than that....."the world is so full of such wonderful things I am sure we should all be as happy as kings" and not have to drive more than an hour to get something good.

What was the last thing that "annoyed you" ?

It was a mean and insensitive comment about a controvertial topic in my state forum.

Do you have a favorite expression you use that pretty much lets folks know you are "annoyed" ? No, I usually get quiet for awhile and may never broach the subject with that person....or perhaps try to talk about it later.

Extra Credit Question:

List 3 of your favorite things to do outside when the weather is really nice.

Any type of gardening
Sitting on the porch and chatting or just gazing
Going for a ride in the countryside

Just for Fun:

What song makes you want to get up and dance when you hear it played?

"Haste to the Wedding" or any contra dance tune.

Today in History:

1852 - 1st edition of Peter Roget's Thesaurus published
1879 - Electric arc lights were used for the first time -- in Cleveland, OH.
1961 - ABC's "Wide World of Sports, debuts
1967 - Aretha Franklin releases "Respect" - let all sing r.e.s.p.e.c.t. (that would save some of the annoyance as referenced in the bonus question.)

When I lived in FL, there was this wonderful but very casual restaurant near the beach that a friend of mine and I found quite by accident after being at the beach all day. We tried to take a short cut and got lost - but ran into this cute cafe when we were both tired and hungry. The staff didn't seem to care that we were sunburned, under dressed (bathing suits and mesh BIG shirt cover with flip flops) and probably smelled like seaweed.

The entryway of the cafe was a shop that sold such things that you don't normally find such as rock candy and pralines, antique kitchen gadgets and potpourri.

The dining experience seemed very elegant with a presentation of sherbet on a little cone between courses and a dessert crepe bar that was to die for. This cafe was about 75 miles from my house, but it was my all time favorite place to eat and well worth the trip - from ANYWHERE. I wish I could remember the name of it!

What was the last thing that "annoyed you" ?
front seat passengers that want me to "look over there..." I'm always the driver - I won't look!

Do you have a favorite expression you use that pretty much lets folks know you are "annoyed" ?
"Do I have to put you over my knee and set you straight.... again? "

3 of your favorite things to do outside when the weather is really nice.
Watch birds; play fetch with my dog; pick wild flowers

Ok..where's the 1st restaurant? I love trying new places! East side or west side? We've found lots of neat places since we've had the bike.

Good morning.

I can't stand being in a car but I'll travel four hours to the Colorado River to stay at our winter place.

The last thing that annoyed me? Who keeps track of that?

I love to be in the pool, out on the Rhino or dining alfresco in nice weather.

At the moment my favorite tune that makes me want to dance is, "Good Thing" By Fine Young Cannibals.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

How far would you drive/travel for a favorite anything?

Oh, I'd say a couple hours. I regularly travel 45 minutes for doctors, Costco and Bath & Body Works (gotta have my cool lotions and soaps - it's my only luxury), but I try to work it into one trip once or twice a month.

What was the last thing that annoyed you?

In general, people that gripe and complain all the time. I have someone close to me that does that ALOT, and it makes me want to pull my hair out - - - or theirs!

Do you have a favorite expression you use that pretty much lets folks know you are annoyed?

With my kids it would probably be "You better quit while you're ahead"!! They don't always take my advice, but I consider them warned at that point!

List 3 of your favorite things to do outside when the weather is really nice?

Swimming
Have a bonfire in the evening
Go for a quad ride with the family

What song makes you want to get up and dance when you hear it played?

This isn't my normal style of music, but whenever I hear the song "Yeah" by Usher I have a hard time keeping still!

Sense of smell day - - - While we were bringing home a mouse for my kids pet snake yesterday, it got out of it's container! We could not get it, so I hope it doesn't die in my car and test my sense of smell! When I get home I am going to try a cheese trail - - - out of my car and onto the ground! Wish me luck!!

Word of the Day:
bumptious \BUMP-shuhs\, adjective:
Crudely, presumptuously, or loudly self-assertive. I know some people like that.

Today is:
Sense of Smell Day. Oh gawd, take a bath and don't put on that horrible smelling perfume.
Rebuilding Day. Too late for me.
National Zipper Day. "Zip it up" instead of "button it up" buster. Hey I'll try that today.
