Who says there is no free lunch? You know those little cards, Subway used to have them. Some of the local places here still do. YOu buy so many meals and, in this case, the 11th one is free.

It's from my favorite sandwich shop. Now will it be the turkey or the chicken? Wait, their roast beef is pretty good too.

What made you happy yesterday, today, or what are you looking forward to in the future?

Today my happy is the good soaking rain we got yesterday evening and last night. The lawn is a deep, deep green, my front garden bed is a riot of color, and the ground should still be nice and soft this weekend to start tilling the patch of dirt where the vegetable garden will go.

AMEN, Midwestern Bookworm! Mrs. Crew chief is THRILLED that her Patchmaster finally got wet without human assistance!

MY happy was the green light on the scale at the Ohio weigh station this morning as I hauled baled cardboard that put my truck only 850 pounds below the 80,000 pound gross weight. Setting the axle weights correctly can sometimes be a real pain...

Free lunch is definitely cool! Our local coffee shop has the punch cards, and after 10, your 11th is free! I love it when that happens!!

My happy today is working with people that you truly feel comfortable with. I have worked here 6 years, and there is only four of us, but we work together so well. We have lots of laughs, too!

An example was this morning - My boss comes in and starts telling me that he had to cancel a golf tournament that he had planned, because we have some clients coming that he needs to take care of. So, I ask what tournament it was, and he tells me "The Bend-Over Classic"!! Naturally, we both start laughing, and he tells me that is really the name of it...... So then at that point I tell him "It sounds like that might not be a bad one to miss"!!!

I used to work for a group of doctors, and it was very "uptight", so it is really nice to work somewhere that is a little more laid back!

Today's happy is knowing you are all happy My particular personal happy is that our soaking rain everyday for the past week or so didn't drown my tomato and bell pepper plants that I planted along the deck..
