Friends or neighbors who think they can borrow my car in what they consider an emergency. Not gonna happen.

I may exercise an option to take you in a true emergency but you will not get my car, I agree!

No one has ever asked to borrow my car. I have ( rarely) borrowed a ride.

A friend has loaned me her car ( her idea, not mine) when mine was in garage.

Oh, I know!! There are a few people that I would loan my car to, but not many. I remember one time many years ago my husband loaned out MY CAR to a lady that just got hers repo'd and was down and out. I was not a happy camper, because I could see through her act - she was in that position of her own doing, and now she had MY CAR!! She had it about a week, and while she had it I had to drive our old junky truck that had so many "quirks" that trying to keep it running was like trying to get through a maze!!

Anyways I was nice about it (even though I didn't want to be) and it all worked out, but if he ever gets that kind of idea again, he can loan out his big fancy truck!!

Alice, get an old clunker like mine that no one wants to drive...even the teenagers don't want to drive it!

I don't have that problem!

Forget emergency. Our one neighbor wanted to borrow our brand spanking new truck (only had it a week or so) to drive from AL to TX to trailer his piece of junk back. Yeah right, next fool in the line step forward!
