I don't find any particular accent in and of itself to be either annoying or sexy. What REALLY annoys me is a voice that's shrill or loud or squeaky or atonal. A sexy voice to me is smooth and cadent, whatever the accent. I sometimes wonder, when meeting a couple where one of them has a lovely modulated voice and the other has some sort of screechy yowl, how the "smoothie" can bear to wake up next to the "screecher" every day. Cheers!

Brooklyn!!!

I need a hot Brooklynite in my life. Not too easy to meet them down south. :-(
Everytime I see a car with a Yankee symbol or the Brooklyn sticker I want to chase them down, but I don't.

MissPittsburgh if you ever move down south you'll get used to the country accents after a while, trust me. Thankfully the Southern men I've dated speak better than most.

Makes my ears cry:

1. Deep South/Country
-Louisiana/Mississippi/Alabama

Makes me lick my lips

1.NYC accent
2.Italian
3.Latin
4.British
5.Aussie

I remember I had a coworker who had parents from Sicily. I used to tell him to talk to me in their language. It was so hot. I had no idea what he said but I didn't care. He probably said all kinds of nasty things. lol

What country finds American accents sexy? I may need to visit one day.

Sexy:

Australian
Irish
Scottish
SOME English, as long as they're refined
SOME Southern, as long as they're refined
Cajun

ANNOYING

Any American accents that are harsh and grating:

Boston (Not Brahmin, mind you)
New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Queens
Redneck South
Wisconsin (You know, the ones with the grating short A vowel sounds)

But, as far as Southern accents go, they are very different. A cultured Southern accent is lyrical to hear, whereas a unsophisticated Southern accent is painful to the ears.

And here I thought my Brooklyn accent was a turn-off all these years

I like Spanish accents, as well as Italian. French can be sexy too.

I'm not so crazy about Boston, Chicago and Upstate NY accents. Not a big fan of the northern "Fargo" accent so common in North Dakota, Wisconson and Canada.

I'm tired of the ATL southern slang accent that most black guys in my age group seem to have adopted despite the fact that they don't live, have never visited or even driven through the state of GA.

If I never ever hear "what it do, shawt" again I will have still heard it 1 time too many.

Basically just NY accents I find annoying, and slow southern ones.

Speaking of southern, there is not just one southern accent. Somebody from Texas, doesn't sound like somebody from Lousianna, doesn't sound like somebody from GA. I'm from NC and they are 3 to 5 different accents in the state alone. Ranging from real fast to real slow. There's even the Harker's Island accent where they sound like they're from England.
