The last bit of that is an Australian add that is on tv all the time here.

Very confronting, made me cry in places.

Default defensive driving

There are no accidents with cars ~ just bad drivers who fail to drive safely. All "accidents" are just car crashes that could have been prevented if the driver/s would have been driving correctly behind the wheel.

Summer vacation time is here and more people will be on the road, hopefully they will drive safely as well as the others out there. Drive defensively others are out there and trying to kill you.

I agree with you 100%...Most people out there driving are out to kill you, you need to be their eyes as well as your own eyes...

The problem now a days..is most people drive putting their make up on, or hooked to their cell- phone....or feeling sleepy.

They have no regards for others on the road!!!

I see some who watched it think it's a big joke.

Good post. Does anyone remember the name of the song? I used to have it somewhere but can't remember what it's called or who sings it.

ETA: Found the song--My Immortal by Evanescence. Good song.

I am almost to the point of keeping my cell phone ready and reporting those idiots I see texting with both hands driving all over the highway because they are using their knees to steer. I wonder if the police would even bother to find them if I did.

Of course someone may report me for using my cell while driving...

Not all accidents are caused by people. Equipment failure, dogs in a car, road debris (us almost on our FL trip - parts of an engine or something), blown tires, etc.

But the majority are caused by idiots.

Not sure what the pinky thing is at the end, but I am willing to bet it means something along the lines of "wanker" or compensating for something. Good video, one which I think a lot of people should watch. A moments inattention can change many lives forever. An inattentive driver killed 3 of my friends right in front of my house when I was little. Drifted off the road and right into the whole group of kids coming over to play. 2 died instantly, one was caught on the car and drug 1/2 mile before the driver finally stopped. 40 years later and that still affects the families involved.
