Sometimes it's both.

An amazing rescue today in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Unfortunately, one person was lost.

The man that rescued her was very low key in the interview I saw, almost embarrassed by the attention. He made sure everyone knew that it was a team effort and the only reason he was the one out there was because he had the harness on when it happened.

The woman is 67 and survived the "boil" in front of that dam! She has kept herself in good physical shape and that is a large part of her withstanding the ordeal for half an hour.
