Good morning peevers.

I'm posting a bit later than usual as I've already been and come back from the big town having done quite a bit of shopping.

Christmas stuff is starting to go up round the house, including a nice Advent calendar of Salisbury Cathedral. A lovely wreath should be going up on the front door later today.

In the shed are big boxes containing outdoor lights that I have had some time now. I bought them in Texas and use them in conjunction with a transformer.

Each year fewer and fewer lights actually work, but they still look nice draped over the shrubs in the front garden.

Do you have problems with such things, finding that certain decorative lights don't work nearly a year after they were put away?

Let us know because the POTD is;

Things that were put away for a while aren't working this time around.

Oh yes, don't I know. I've been using a small Christmas Tree these last few years. It's a straight up and down, really skinny tree. But the good thing is I can leave the lights on it when I store it, but each year more and more of the lights don't work. I keep adding strings of light to compensate. Guess one of these years I need to break down and take all the lights off and start over. At least it's small so it shouldn't take that long....but it's just untangling all those strings of lights.

Very timely Jezer. Had put away my wooden field camera and when I got it out the shutter on the lens would not work. Finally after monkeying with it it started working again.

Good morning to you!

For me recently it was the humidifier that I use in winter. Even changed the filter, but no luck. It's only a year old. Maybe it's that "planned obsolescence" thing.

Yep. Had a whole strand of xmas lights just give out. And they were recently bought, too. I have some that are years old that keep on working but these didn't make it 2 years. Very annoying.

Blame it on dead batteries someone forgot to take out.

After Halloween I'm done with that whole seasonal decorating thing. I don't have any Christmas lights.

Kind of reminds me of my CD account.

Bye all.
