Wow, I finally made it. We filled up a 15 yard dumpster, installed a garage door, and installed a window. It's break time.

Lets talk about Leftovers !! Yes let's

I love most leftovers and the ones that I don't love I will eat until it is gone. I cannot throw out food.

Cook extra to make sure there are leftovers ? Always.

If you have company for dinner and there are leftovers do you send some home with your guests ? I'm pretty greedy with my leftovers. but if you ask nicely I will send some home with you.

If you go somewhere for dinner and are offered some of the leftovers will you take them ? Why, of course.

Do your washer & dryer match ? Now they do. We just bought a new set last week.

Top load washer and front load dryer here. In TN I have both front loader HE and I hate them. What should we expect when they don't use much water

What are your favorite games to play at home
Card games ? I love to play a game called "May I" and hubby and I like to play Skippo. I played a lot of Spades, Casino, Rummy 500, and Kings In The Corner when I was younger. Loved it.

Board games? I like Scrabble but I can't find anyone else to play with.

What are some of your favorites ? I am open to any kind of game at least once. I even went through a phase where I thought "Naked Twister" would be cool, lol.

If it's chocolate cake day then it is an awesome day.

Happy Hump Day everyone.

I'm a selective left-over eater but I try to just make enough for 1 meal.

I'll offer guests leftovers if they want them.
I'll take left-overs if they insist.

Have a top loader washer and front loader dryer.

I don't care for board or card games.

At one time or another in our lives, we're a panjandrum.

I always make sure I have leftovers for my husbands lunch the next day.
Washer and dryer are both white, washer if top loader, dryer front loader.
I love to play board games (trivial pursuit is my favorite), but my husband doesn't, maybe because I always win

Default Chocolate Cake Day! and I ALMOST missed it?

Oh, sweetheart? Would you run to the bakery for me? I have a hankering for some chocolate cake.

Leftovers? Depends upon what the leftovers are, whether I love 'em or leave 'em. Some of my favorite leftovers come from some of my favorite restaurants -- especially the pasta dishes that could easily feed a family of five. If I invite guests for dinner, unless it is a large dinner party, I will offer to send leftovers home with them, and if I am a guest, and offered leftovers, I am always grateful to accept. Some things actually taste better the second time around -- soups, chili, pasta dishes. . .

And then of course, there is the ultimate -- 'garbage can soup.' All of the leftovers go into a big pot, and voila! soup! One of my favorite things to do is to pull everything out of the fridge on a Friday night, set it out on the counter, and you pick what you want to eat. First one there, gets first pick. Nice way to get the fridge emptied-out on a Friday night before the weekend excursions to the grocery stores, and because the Tupperware goes in the dishwasher, it's all nice and clean for the coming week.

Method-to-the-madness, I say.

Due to be replaced soon, my washer and dryer match. They are, however, from about 1995, and I have been looking hard and long for another set. The washer has just started leaking (from under it) and I have NO idea what that's all about -- other than a new 'honey do' for Mr. Rdslots. They have been a great set, actually. I can't seem to wear them out, and when the repairman has been out to fix a little something on one or the other, he always comments how these were among the best models for that brand.

I'd like a front loader, I think -- better for the environment? They use less water, have higher rpm to get the water out of the clothes, it seems. Our laundry room is upstairs with the bedrooms, and I haven't found a quiet set yet, however. Well, the manufacturers claim they are, but owners say they're not.

Favorite games? Mr. Rdslots and I like to challenge one another to a game of chess, and we used to enjoy playing bridge or spades, but it's hard to find not-so-serious bridge players around here. I like Scrabble, and UpWords a lot. On the computer, one of my favorites is the online version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. I have been trying for the past year to get past the $500,000 question to no avail.

Leftovers? Love, love, love them. I also love seeing that you can do to "tweak" them a little bit the second time around. Most of the time I cook extra -- it depends on what the dish is. I always offer leftovers on a big holiday, like Christmas or Easter. At other times it just depends on the meal. If a host offers me food I usually take it. I've known a lot of good cooks throughout my adult years.

Washer and dryer? They were supposed to match by now! Unfortunately, Mr. Recession has the plans on hold. That's okay -- I'm so thankful that I don't have a mortgage. The space is ready and waiting. My GE dryer is twenty years old this month and going strong! The washer is another story -- a nine year old Whirlpool that has started to leak under the bottom. I'm using the wash and fold service and "washing out by hand" for a little while because there's another big expense due by the end of February. Where there's a will there's a way!

Favorite card games are spades and hearts. I love spades -- it reminds me of college (fun days!). Favorite board game, although I haven't played it in a while, is Monopoly. I've been trying to go to a local Scrabble group, but something always seems to get in the way. I forgot about online Who Wants to Be a Millionaire -- thanks!

OK . . . please don't give me too much flack about sororities. I loved my college sorority. Mine wasn't a national one, because our school was so small, but I loved dear old Pi Sigma anyone. And . . . I was a basketball cheerleader, but not all four years. Loved that, too! College was so much fun (and I'm afraid that has been more than a few years ago LOL!). I've always liked the Globetrotters and wish the pair had won the Amazing Race last season. 1976 -- was having too much fun to watch much TV. I wish I had a piece of chocolate cake, but the spice slice waiting on me will be pretty good! Glad we have toilets, like a tea party once in a while and used to play the piano, so I'm well aquainted with Mr. Mozart. Great questions today!
