Love leftovers and always make more than 2 of us could eat.

Yes I offer and no I won't take from someone else.

Matched set and washer is top load and dryer front load.

Not a game person-not even gamey!

Chocolate's always good-but we are not cake or dessert eaters.

Today's Question(s):

Lets talk about Leftovers !!

Are you a
Leftover lover?
Leftover hater?
Selective leftover eater?
Cook extra to make sure there are leftovers?

We love leftovers, and they are always the top choice for lunches to take to work later in the week. We'll generally plan at least one or two meals out of the week specifically to include enough extra to cover our lunches; if we have so much that it'll take us too long to eat them, we freeze the excess.

If you have company for dinner and there are leftovers do you send some home with your guests?
That depends a bit on the situation and the guests. We have weekly dinner guests (coming over tonight, in fact) who are young and not very well off college students. They enjoy coming over once a week for home cooking and a welcoming family atmosphere, and we ALWAYS make extra to send home with them. They really seem to enjoy having "real" food to take home.

And often when our offspring are over for a meal, we'll offer them leftovers to take home as well, because they're also impoverished college students. When our son went back to college after winter break, he took several containers of frozen brisket with him.

If you go somewhere for dinner and are offered some of the leftovers will you take them?

That also depends on the place and the situation. We might in some cases, but if we know that our hosts are struggling financially (such as when our daughter and her boyfriend invite us to supper at their place), we decline with thanks. We know they need the food more than we do.

Extra credit Question:

Do your washer & dryer match?

Yes, as a matter of fact, they do. We had to replace the previous pair after both machines were ruined by a 15" deep flood of raw sewage in our basement, so we got a matched set.

Do you have
Front loader?
Top loader?
Stackable?

We have a front-loading washing machine, and we really like it. Amusingly enough, about six months after we installed that washer, the city water department sent a technician out to check our water meter, because our water usage had dropped so precipitously they thought something was wrong with the meter!

Bonus Question:

What are your favorite games to play at home
Card games?
Board games?

I prefer board games; I have never been a card player, unless you count computer solitaire.

What are some of your favorites?

I think the all-time favorite is Balderdash. Pretty much everyone in our family has a large vocabulary, terrific (and often raunchy) imaginations, and amazing senses of humor, and that combination makes for a very lively game of Balderdash.

Other favorites are Trivial Pursuit (the genus edition by preference), Scrabble and Monopoly.
