NEW YORK—An elderly Brooklyn couple say they're tired of hearing the phrase, "Police! Open up!" World War II veteran Walter Martin and his 82-year-old wife, Rose, said police have come looking for criminals at their house about 50 times in the past eight years. It's not clear why.

Might as well just give the cops a key so they can come in and check things out when they want.
Must be one hell of a neighborhood.

The New York Daily News says its computer search showed 15 other people living at the Marine Park address. The Martins don't know any of them. Inspector Ed Mullen said the NYPD's identity theft squad is investigating.
In Orlando this would make sense....since there really CAN be 15 other people living in the same small apartment.

Unbelievable. Only time and I mean the only time in 5+ years policia nacional came to my door, they wanted to know if I knew where some expat lived (my truck was in my driveway so they knew who it was who lived there). Personally if I was the couple I'd be talking to an attorney about police harrassment but that's just me. And a WWII vet to boot

I wish they would do it to me. It would be worth at least $500000 in an abuse of my constitutional rights civil trial. Seriously if it happened to me I wouldn't let them in but just tell them to get a warrant or buzz off.
