Now I guess I oughta be glad that we don't live anywhere near a theatre. Just use the Net...x system lately. Or watch on computer. Heck, I remember going to the movies as a kids for $0.10 and a nickel for popcorn!!! Yep, loooooong time ago. lol

This one doesn't bother me at all. I haven't seen a movie in a theater in years. I spend the money on my home theater. Popcorn is better, chairs better and I can watch in my underwear if I wish.

Just heard about this - we don't go to many movies and looks like more of them will be second runs. Here's hoping the $2 theater stays open!

Fortunately, we don't go to the movies. We stay at home for our entertainment. What gives here anyway?.... The unemployment rate is through the roof, yet prices are escalating like crazy. Hmmmm Do folks WANT to go out of business. Oh I realize that that they're not making ends meet, due to probably a smaller clientele, but are they going to price themselves out of their business?

I feel awful for those of you who do go to the movies though. If we were movie goers, instead of the folks who like snuggling on the couches in our jammies to watch movies, it would certainly put a hitch in our outings, that's for sure.

It's been a long time since I set foot in a theater. All the more reason not to participate with their price gouging.

This doesn't bother me. Movies are getting worse and worse each year and I can''t see wasting my money for a bad movie. If it's a movie that looks really good, which is very rare, I can wait for DVD.

I do feel bad for young people. What do the do on dates? Everything has gotten so expensive.
