Dementia has run in my family. My mom (almost 70y, and doing well) said that we should brush our teeth with our "other" hand sometimes to stimulate the other side of our brain. LOL! Try it, and let me know how it goes. Don't hurt yourself. If you're ambidextrous (sp?) you don't count.

Might be less messy to simply practice writing with the other hand.

I find it just stimulates your elbow and makes a mess.

I've tried this before, also writing and eating with opposing hand. I've done it for mindfulness practice. Didn't know it would help my wee brain!

Sounds intriguing, and well worth a try! Also, I sometimes remember to look at the world through my "other" eye. (People usually have a dominant eye, just as we have a dominant hand.) When I do, I literally get another perspective on the world. Try it!

Do I brush my teeth with my "other" hand? No, I use a toothbrush.
