Squirrel invasion drives them nuts.

It started with items from the top of Berlinda Britt's dresser, found scattered around the bedroom of her home in the North 25 housing complex.

Then she and her two kids noticed droppings on the floor, and her dad said it looked like squirrels had gotten into her room.

I hate squirrels!! A couple of years ago, they actually got under my hood and chewed up vital car wires that cost me a lot to fix. They are nothing but rats with a fancy tail. (Kinda like most politicians)

I wonder what the obscure psychiatric word for "fear of squirrels" is.

Three years ago, I had a terrible problem with squirrels in my house. They practically drove me crazy!

I live in an old house, with a huge walnut tree right next to it. Bazillions of squirrels around, all the time. They found a way into my basement and traveled up and down between the walls to the attic, where they nested. Even a professional pest control company couldn't do anything about it. The little varmints would scamper around over my head in the attic, and they would chatter and fight and roll walnuts around. The worst was the constant chewing. Their teeth on the wood in the attic sounded like little jackhammers. This went on for about 5 MONTHS. Really thought I was going to lose my mind over it! I caught one by hand (I'm not lying! ha) in my basement, wrapped him in a towel, took him outside and let him go. I was finally able to get rid of all of them by tuck pointing the entire brick foundation of my house, inside and out, on a nice fall day when all the squirrels were out in the yard playing. They were never able to get back in after that. (Yet! )

How's THAT for a funny squirrel story? I still think squirrels are cute, though, and I enjoy watching them play in my yard.

They can be creative. It takes a smart cat to take one on. I have a cat that can do it.
