I can see who it is. I ignore if unknown to me.

My door bell has never rung, except when my Dad wants to get me all worked up!

I have been here 2 years, out in the country. I can see who it is anyway. yes i would open it. I had a couple on a motorcycle stuck in a thunderstorm, I opened the garage door for them and gave them water. It was very hot. Then i found out they were homeless. But they never came back for more.

If two young teenagers with black suits/white shirts/ties come knocking on my door, it's too irresistible not to open the door:

"Welcome! Welcome! But first, let me tell you I'm a registered sex offender, on parole, and my parole officer forbids me to have contact with anyone under the age of 30. But you two are so cute, I just can't resist this opportunity! Now, just step inside and make yourself comfortable!"

"Yoo-hoo! Yoo-hoo! Don't you go running away like that! Doesn't your religion teach you there are no ghosts!"

Ever thought of putting up a note next to the doorbell?

Current resident, on parole with an ankle brace, recently released from prison after serving a 30 year sentence for triple murders, welcomes all visitors.

It gets very lonely in here. You need only knock once.

My friends/family all know better so if someone knocks at my door, I already know it's an uninvited guest. I leave them where they stand- at the door!

i agree with you...

I let the dogs answer first (there are three of them) then I ask 'who is is - through the door or not at all depends on my mood, but never at night,
