OK...I was at the grocery today, dd says she forgot what watermelon tasted like, I am so believing that... so off to the store I went.

I was checking out and infront of where the cashiers are there are a line of lottery machines.

This little old lady was messing with the machines, she looked like maybe 85 or so. Her grandson, about 35. Grandma, that is gambling! You don't need that. Come on, lets go.

I held my laughter. A little. OK, I don't buy the tickets but dag on...if you are 85 and wanna scratch... you should be able to, right? LOL

They left out of the store and the cashier about 17 and myself started rolling.

I'll tell you what. That lady left with a handful of tickets... dam straight!

WOOWOO!!!

Smile The lessons we can learn from them!

http://www.airamericaplace.com/boards/style_emoticons/default/punch.gif (broken link)Funny,,,,,, don’t mess with Granny ~ you’ll lose!

You got’a know that most of these retired folks just don’t have the extra money to enjoy much but they always seem to get along in life. So with a few bucks ~ they spend it on a ticket in hopes of winning the big time. My mother in law (87) doesn’t gamble much but she enjoys a trip to the casinos now and then. When she goes ~ she plays the slots and usually wins a few extra bucks for her time. Don’t ask me where my money goes, I don’t win at much.

I won big time at Atlantic City. When my Mom was still at the point where she could still go and do things, she wanted to go to AC, so, she, my sister and I got in my car and went. We stayed at the Tropicana and never left. My Mom was in the wheelchair the whole time and gave each of us a hundred bucks to gamble with.

These girls walk around giving free drinks. I don't drink. Pepsi for me, thanks. Sister... WHITE RUSSIANS ALL NIGHT LONG!!!

Then she got mad when I was winning! Put the winnings back intot he machine.. it was 'given' money anyways! LOL The good ole days

I love the lottery. No, I don't play it. It's a tax on the poor.

Agreed and if they win the government cuts off any benefits that they may have been receiving.
