Moving back to Ottawa from Vancouver not bilingual (job market, associations)

What is the job market like in Ottawa. Is it really hard to get a job there only being English. I did grow up in Nepean. Would a company pass on me because I'm not bilingual. Not just Federal jobs. High tech, Provincial, Associations etc...

Whether or not your bilingual. It makes no difference unless your trying to work with government or a sub contract working directly under the government.

There are actually more government jobs that don't require French than most people realize in Ottawa. Especially in the technical fields.

So I'm wondering if Thestig got a job after moving here from Vancouver. I have just found that there is a section on Indeed that is for Government Jobs in Ottawa. There have been some that didn't seem to require French.

What type of work were you looking for Thestig.
