Nice choice Cat... I cannot think of a more fitting Pagan Solstice tune than this Jethro Tull offering.

Here some verse from Robert Frost's "Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening"

"My little horse must think it *****
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year."

Solstice day only has a half hour left in my time zone....

Happy Solstice To All!! And To All A Good Night...

May the Creator look favorably upon you as we make the transition from the old to the new year and may many blessings come your way for this new year.Osiyo

It speaks to me of the deathly stillness and darkness of winter lightened by hope and the promise of spring.

I think Christians might hear a song about the arrival of their saviour.

I hear hope and a reason to keep on keeping on.

"...everyone* is forgiven now...because tonight's the night the world begins again..."

Merry Solstice/Christmas/Hanukkah et al!

(Play it loud or don't bother.)

*That means you too, Hanni.
Finally got to listen. Perfect song for the solstice/Christmas/New Year. Was not familiar with it.

It's all the same theme, people--new life, hope, light piercing the darkness. A feeling as old as humankind, and maybe even older than that.

Amen.
