...how do you season or consecrate yours?

I have many decks. This one is a little different. I love the artwork. It's called "The Tattoo Tarot - ink and intuition".

I pick up each card individually, look at it for a first impression, then waft it in the smoke of the big hunk of sage I have burning in the crystal ashtray that belonged to my mother-in-law.

I will have to look up that deck. A gift idea for my well-inked daughter.

What is the purpose of seasoning or consecrating the cards? Do the cards "work" even if they have not been seasoned or consecrated? Thanks.

I use the full moon and look at each card under the moon light.

How fun to have a tattoo-themed deck! I don't do anything, just start right in shuffling and doing a reading. I generally don't even look through the deck first, because I like to be surprised during the first few readings--I can hear the deck's "voice" and get a better feel for its personality that way.

I take each card and rub it in between both hands. I do this a few times. I shuffle and shuffle and shuffle.

I have heard about putting them in a bag and then putting them under your pillow. That never made any sense to me because you could bend them and such if you are like me-a toss & turner.

Yes. I thought my son's well inked girlfriend would like it too. So I bought her a deck. I have one small tattoo - given to me by my son who is a tattoo artist among other things.

While I am not a tattoo freak, the style and art appealed to me. I'll see if I can get an image.

Here is the deck - https://www.etsy.com/listing/9562688...MaAtewEALw_wcB

Hope this works. It looks better in person. Someone wrote that they couldn't find them in "the states". Not true. I found them at Barnes and Nobel in Boardman OH. Which is about as normal and boring as it sounds.

It's been so long since I purchased a new deck. I had forgotten about sleeping with them under your pillow. I'll do that tonight.
