That last thread was taking an off topic turn but an interesting one so I just wanted to ask:

What do you guys consider acceptable room standards?
What do you expect done everyday/weekly/monthly?
Do these things have to be done or there is a punishment?
Ex: Not making the bed gets X punishment etc.

It was Mattie that posted that.
And out of sight out of mind it popped off the first page and I don't wander too far.
Now....wait...what was I talking about?

Clean and tidy.
Gee I would love for txtqueen to come and stay a year. I think it would take that long to straighten her out. Imagine no cell phone, a tidy room, neat clothes, nice language, respectful talk, no TV and just enough pocket money for a treat once a week if you have done your chores of course.

Why no cell phone?
Aren't I old enough that I could just pay for it myself?

And I don't watch much tv.

And hey, I've always wanted to live in another country.
If you're game I'm game. I'll pay for the plane ticket.

And hey my clothes are just fine! I don't dress skanky or anything. I dress just fine!!

I've been meaning to clean my room too.
I just anytime I go to do it I become overwhelmed.

I really am an organized person, too organized. I can never get things as organized as I would like them so I quit easily.

Out of every parent who posts regularly in the parenting forum, I think aidxen has the best chance at straightening you out.

Probably and while what he would do is great, I see doing all that for a child.

Wouldn't someone who wanted to straighten out a 21 year old, make them work a job, go to college, keep their stuff clean and pay for their own bills?

Instead of tell me no cell phone and no tv, as if they control my life...

I mean I haven't turned my tv in in ages. I have no idea where the remote is.
And my cell phone currently is being used to play music.

I can go without everything but music.
I'd need to keep my iPod or radio. Something with my favorite music.

Of course, he would include those responsibilities and expectations too!

I'm sure aidxen would let you have a radio in your room if you earned it with good behavior.
