Police in southwest Ohio say a birthday bash for a 3-year-old girl turned into a beer-soaked brawl as guests threw broken bottles and punches and sent two men to the hospital.
Elmwood Place police tell The Cincinnati Enquirer that 30 kids watched as dozens of adults fought in a party hall near Cincinnati at about 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Why is a birthday bash for a 3 year old still going at 1 am?

We generally serve alcohol at my kids family b-day parties for the adults. Short of my MIL getting a little tipsy at one BBQ we had for my daughter nothing horrible happened. There's nothing wrong with responsible consumption and enjoying a couple cold ones at a BBQ.

We don't typically have "kids parties" and "adult parties." If we have a party to celebrate an occasion we invite kids and adults with whom we wish to celebrate.

Seems a little insane doesn't it? Thirty kids around toddler age up at 3am for a children's party? Seriously?
