I just thought we all should have one. And a limo to put it in. Because we deserve the best.
Sorry for the non sequitur. I got a new job today and I'm feeling a bit loopy.
Congratulations! And yes, we do indeed deserve nothing but the very best because we are just that awesome!
Thanks for the clip Hopes, now I know!

Need some tips!
My class for tonight's course was interesting and terrifying at the same time.
The course is extremely fascinating and the professor is engaging.
But all of the exams will be based on lecture. The professor says
nothing will be from the text (wondering why we need to buy it).
I shouldn't be worried, but I am because my memory and concentration can be sometimes challenging since my B-12 deficiency.
I feel like I'm missing what he's talking about because I'm taking extremely detailed notes.
At break, everyone else was worried about the same thing. We want to protect our 4.0 GPAs.
Maybe buying a new laptop (mine died) and taking notes via typing will be better. I don't have to think to type, plus I can type faster than I write.
Any ideas?

Hopes..."back in the day" people used to record the lectures so they could go back and relisten later...

You are a lifesaver! Seems so simple, but it didn't occur to me! I can't believe I didn't think of that! I'll be heading to Radio Shack this weekend!

digital audio recorder
Or that livescribe smart pen that records the lecture as you are writing.

I was going to suggest recording, but make sure you ask the professor before recording the lecture.

Okay, I will but why would a professor not allow it? Seems strange.

They don't have to allow you to tape unless you have a documented disability with that accommodation. However, most professors will let you tape, but you should ask just to make sure.
Does he use a power point presentation and is he willing to share it? I post my power points to an online course group so that my students can print them out and take notes alongside the slides.
