Hey RKB. We're fine over here. We've just been scrambling trying to get all the documents the college needs so I can start. Orientation is on Friday, and I just got officially accepted yesterday. I'm supposed to submit proof of an MMR shot, but I don't have proof. I had the shot when I was a kid, but my doctor and his practice are no longer around.
You are very brave. I couldn't do it if it were me. You must be very proud. And I am proud to know you. You go, girlfriend.
Thank you my sweet Rufus....today was a tough day...but we got him in the air, tracked his flight to Chicago, and watched him land.....he called us as soon as he got off of the plane. LOL He woke up at 3 this morning and came to our motel room...we sat up and talked until he had to leave. Ugh....it is so hard. We're so very proud of him. My heart aches the most for my husband. This particular son has always been practically attached to his side. He came out of my body...yes, but he immediately attached like velcro to his father's side. LOL He's been there ever since. The are so much alike....with all the same interests. He's my husband's BEST male friend and the opposite is true as well. My poor hubby's heart is breaking... bless his heart. He's so proud and happy for our son, but hurting so very deeply.
Rkb....got home from Seattle and the send off, a few hours ago. We're just wiped out. We're so pitiful. DD found the site to track the flight from here to O'hare....and we did. He called when he got off the plane. I'm hanging in there.....and kind of worried about hubby. He's just lost his best guy pal for a while and is going to be lost without him. Son was doing okay though, he was pretty nervous and working so very hard to be Mr. Tough Guy....couldn't hardly talk for the lump in his throat. It wasn't until we started home that I really realized....Oh my GOSH, I only have one son at home.....my middle baby's GONE!...he's "moved OUT!" Yeah...drove through some tears...but ugh...we all made it where we needed to be. Thanks so much my friend. ((((((HUGS)))))))

Call your old high school. I'll bet money that they still have your immunization records. That's how I found mine when I needed them for employment
(((((((beachmel))))))) I'm glad you're all safely home. I'm sure it will take time before you adjust to not having your baby with you. (They stay our babies forever.) Once he gets out of boot camp, you'll have more communication with him on a regular basis. In the meantime, start writing those letters and cards for boot camp! He'll appreciate it!
Beachmel, I've been thinking of you. Please keep us posted on how he's doing and how you are all adjusting to your new normal.
Psr: Congratulations!! I'm proud of you.
My modem died in the middle of the afternoon yesterday. No internet! Horrors. Very thankful to get a new on and be back on line.
