It is well-known that some parents at times take their children’s extra-curricular activities a bit too seriously, but what happened last week at a little league baseball game set a whole new level.

A few years back my oldest son umpired little league games for a local rec club he got 20 dollars a game He came home after his first game all upset because he got hassled by some parents. I told him to stick to what ever call he made do not waver and let the jeers go in one ear and out the other. He finished the season but refused to ever do it again. Its sad to see that its gotten even worse over the years.

Whats up with these parents RELAX its a game

BrianH: Touche - from a chicagoan and a pizza "snob"...

Everyone I know who gets involved in children's sports - I recommend they see the first version of "Bad news bears" (walter matthau and tatum o neal). That movie is SO great and a good commentary on how insane and disgusting parents can act.

I'm embarrassed to tell ya, but I used to get pretty riled up when my son played little league baseball! I did manage to stop short of throwing pizza at anyone, but nevertheless....

As someone said above, It's just a game!
