I have 2 sons (born in 2003 and 2006) and neither is circ'd. It really wasn't an option for me. I saw absolutely no medical or social reason to do it. If the boys decide as adults they want to have it done it's up to them. I wasn't going to make that choice for them.

FWIW, my DH is circ'd and he was fine with not circ'ing the boys. If a future partner decides they don't want to be with my son's because of the way their penis looks instead of who they are as a person then I will be sure to tell them that partner is not worth their time.

You do realize they would do the procedure under general anesthetic, right?

I honestly can't think of a worse age to do it, they are just exploring their bodies, potty training. It's your decision, but I'm just sayin'.
As I said, my husband was around seven or eight when he got one. He's from the Philippines, and that's the only Asian country that routinely does them from what I've heard.

I don't believe in it. I have 3 sons none were cut, thay are as natural as God intended boys to be. Unfortunetelt I am cut, not by choice.

i could never imagine putting a knofe to a little baby boy, it is barbarak, frightening and sickening all at the same time.

God made man with foreskin, it is not for us to deceide what human body parts stay and what goes.

I check the box NO !!! I am against it.

Realistically speaking, however, it just means that I hang out with a crunchy-ish crowd, and that we all happen to live in the same town.

True, but the report said their numbers were not definitive which means they do not have accurately reported numbers.

What do you think you have to do to clean an intact penis? I'm asking because I never did anything other than wipe it, which is what the pediatrician said to do. It took me much more time to clean my daughter during diaper changes. You never retract a baby's foreskin... it's on there very tightly.

Seemed like less work to have it cut. I made the right choice.
