That was me! That's the biggest reason I laugh when they say they know what their kids are doing. My mother had no idea, still doesn't. When I was in high school I dated this guy waaaay older than me for 2 years, and he was a bad, bad boy. My parents were clueless.
TK's girlfriend has a 17 year old friend whose parents a super strict. Turns out, she's dating TK's girlfriend's brother, the 27 year old ex-con---or as I affectionately refer to him, the statutory rapist. Her parents have no clue. TK's girlfriend hates it and hopes her parents catch her. I doubt it though. The strict-my-children-are-perfect rarely know what's really happening.
If I shared this in that thread, someone would ask why I haven't called her mother. I don't even know the woman. I don't even know the girl's last name. These are kids who are two years younger than my youngest child. I've only seen the girl once. I can't be responsible for everything I hear through the teenage grapevine. It's not my business.
Well, all, here's what I learned today - funny how the little things really bug you. I learned that apparently my son is a "notch" below those IB kids.
The weather here is extremely strange! I don't think I've ever seen snow falling from the sky while it's thundering and lightning out..apparently it's called a thunder-snow. Like a thunderstorm, but snow is the main precipitation, not rain. Very weird!
