Thanks a lot. Now I can't stop watching those videos. DH can't see what I am doing, but keeps looking at me like I am crazy when he hears these sounds coming out of my computer.

I think I just found my new ringtone.

I really like having a unique ringtone so I don't dig around in my purse every time any phone rings. The fact that it will just annoy everyone at the same time will be a great bonus.

I did a youtube search the first time I'd heard of the thing. I just couldn't remember what it was called this time. It is EVIL.

However, there is another instrument called the drumitar, invented by Roy Wooten (aka Futureman) of the Wooten Brothers and of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. That - is a pretty amazing instrument (played by a pretty amazing musician):

Okay, you are forcing me to bring out the big guns of not only bad music video, but worst song ever. Enjoy!

P.S. I can't believe that people were shocked when he came out. After watching this video, no mystery there.

LOL. My DH just saw the video and described it as someone slowly torturing Pac Man to death. I think it is a pretty accurate description.

Wow. Ok. That is pretty amazing. Especially when you can see that it is put together with duct tape.

That's his original. Roy has designed retail versions, sold by the Synthaxe people. You can find a bunch of articles about it (and him) around the internet; his brother Victor is also a member of Bela Fleck, and a member of the Wooten Brothers band, and is considered a virtuoso bass player. His -other- brother Joseph (yes, another member of the Wooten Brothers) plays keyboards for the Steve Miller Band, and his OTHER brother Regi is a gifted guitar player, known as "the Teacha" and is also a member of the Wooten Brothers Band.

I think there's another brother who plays Sax but I've never met him. I saw the Wootens play in Nashville; they're pretty amazing individually and combined.

Oh, Futureman! And Victor Wooten. {sigh} I got a hug from Victor after a show once. He doesn't know it, but he's been my boyfriend ever. since. Bela's touring this year with the "original lineup" - including Howard Levy. And last weekend, I saw Jeff Coffin play at drumStrong. Oh, musicians. {sigh}

Anyone else sick of hearing about poor wittle Casey Anthony? She's scum of the earth, I hope they send her away for a very long time.
