I am high on Quinoa fumes dear Zim. They are quite the mood elevator. That and a few Midol.

I buy groupons, etc. of our favorite restaurants or events. The art gallery has free evenings. The dollar movie theater. Playing tennis at the community center.
I also second kid-swapping. We do that quite often, and the kids love the company too. Sometims everyone sleeps over, sometimes not. We have gone downtown for the night, that is fun.
Question...why is it that Jeopardy seems to start at about 1 or 2 minutes before the hour? I don't get it.
I used to know that. Something about selling commercial time. Or someone at your local station pushes the button too early. I have a question: We have two atomic clocks that constantly have the time wrong. What's up with that? And it's not the fact that AZ stays on Standard time all year. Right now the one in the kitchen is off by an hour and four minutes. Makes me nuts.
That slime looks seriously nasty. Yech. If I didn't worry about the ecological balance of the planet I'd pour bleach all over it.
I think many/most of us get there at one time or another. We are kind of at the other end of things. With DD pretty much gone and DS leaving for college in another year, we're having to readjust to being just with each other, not only as parents. Parenting can be so time-consuming and all encompassing, draining....it's easy to get lost in it. Taking the time and effort now really is worth it. It doesn't get easier - it just evolves into different types of stress.
Just got a message from my friend. They let her mother go home. She has to go back and have a couple of stents put in but the emergency is over. Whew.
Thanks everybody, for your thoughts. I really, really appreciated them!!! When you've been friends with someone for over 30 years they become family. She and I have been through a lot together.
