I had an off-white sectional when my children were born. Within a year, I gave it away.

Good news on Hubby's work front. (I can't believe I just realized that I have a friend who specializes in employment law!)

Long story short, we don't have anything to worry about financially in the short term or long term.

I always look at white furniture and think eek! Wouldn't last 5 minutes around here. Mind you my graffiti artist would enjoy the clean pallette!

Macie-colored! Love it!

Do you buy your clothes to match Macie?

I stopped wearing black years ago. Black doesn't go well with a yellow lab.

LOL - That might work. I will say another thing I buy at Costco is the multi-packs of lint-rollers....I keep several around the house, one in the car and one at work. It's a never ending battle - especially with her allergies lately - it's been horrible. Hopefully that will settle down to a "reasonable" amount of blonde dust bunnies around here....

We had two white loveseats before children, and actually quite a while afterwards. We went from saying "don't go near the white couches" to "we better hurry up and replace those disgusting white couches" in about a 4 year span.

Congrats to your DH Hopes. I'm sure you'll sleep well tonight.

I've been cooking all day. My friends and I have decided to replace out monthly girls' night out dinner with a home cooked version. I'm doing salad, pasta with a fresh mozzarella, tomato, spinach and basil sauce, and an incredible chocolate Reese's PB Cup cake.

LOL - we did just the opposite - we started out doing it at home and rotating hosting then moved on to going out! LOL - maybe once everyone's kids are gone we'll move back toward that. That will be awhile though - I'm leading that parade and will be the first "empty nester" next year....One of us has a son just starting middle school.......

It sounds DELICIOUS. I've got the last load of clothes in the dryer and I'll be right there.

What can I bring? White or red? Or what's under the kitchen sink, maybe?

Mattie - that sounds yummy. Especially the cup cake.

Here's what I'm doing tonight in an attempt to use up our Farm share stuff - mainly the basil:

Orzo with Parmesan and basil
salad with a homemade citrus-basil vinaigrette
eggplant snack sticks
homemade fresh bread with ....wait for it.... basil butter I made yesterday

Notice a theme?

On that note - I need to go down and get started on the vinaigrette and bread.
