Morning Zim -

We tried Kohl's yesterday - nothing.

I just noticed on the website for the spice shop - they have salt grinders - not sure how we didn't see them in the store!

We were having fun Friday trying all the different salts - the great place about this spice shop is you can taste everything. Here is a link to the shop we go to and their salts -

Spices: Salts - Savory Spice Shop, Inc.

After tasting about 3 salts though - you can taste any more.
Ok, I got Himalayan pink salt, not Hawaiian. How gauche of me.

Actually I got it at Homegoods, so I'll check out those places for a grinder too, Zim.

That looks like a great store, coop. Don't know that I'd dare go in there.

Hadn't thought about Buena Vista - that's a possibility. Thanks guys. Or, I might see what's available up in the mountains. Hopefully this time of year the traffic won't be too bad. Past the worst of the summer traffic, not yet the viewing Aspens in the fall traffic. LOL. As long as we avoid Labor Day weekend I guess.

Sur Le Table would probably have salt grinders....

I had no idea there were different kinds/colors of salt (other than the obvious Sea Salt, Kosher Salt etc). You guys and your cooking skills are head and shoulders about me. Give me a brisket and a crockpot, some potatoes and my newly found peach cobbler recipe and I'm ok. I'm best at good old fashioned comfort food. Which goes immediately to my rear and thighs. DS will be happy when things cool off enough for me to cook like that more often. He is complaining about the lack of red meat here anymore. He's decided he'd like to be adopted by his friend's family - dad was a chef in a former life. He comes home and describes in detail, the food they had if he's been over there for dinner.

I confess - this is the first time I've gotten a special sea salt - I didn't know they existed either until I went into the shop.

Good morning! Well, I guess it's afternoon now. Slow start today.

mm -- Glad to hear your daughter is doing well!

rbk --- Colbert is definitely cuter than Stewart (too Pillsbury Dough boy for my tastes).

What's for dinner, everyone? I need ideas!
