psr - don't forget to make sure you are taking in enough Vitamin A. Vitamin A assists the body in absorbing the iron efficiently, Vitamin C also assists with this to a lesser degree. If you like it, liver has heme-iron (the good kind) and extremely high levels of vitamin A. A win-win!

Good luck cutting the coffee!

I did when I was pregnant many moons ago. I think I started drinking it again because my husband did - and the smell. I couldn't resist.

Soda is a big contributor to iron deficiency anemia.

Yeah. I wonder if I should just switch over to tea now and then dial that back little by little.

PSR good luck on that grey hair and do as others suggested!

Do you ladies have a recipe that is like your achilles heel? One that you always try to do but never ever comes out right and becomes a downright disaster?

Tonight, I am attempting cottage/shepherds pie. For all the years I have lived in England, my attempts at such an easy recipe always start out with the best intentions. In the end we would have to bin it and order a take away. Now after 3 years of not trying and a craving for it, I did just that...made a cottage pie. It is currently in the oven as I type and all I can do is pray it does not catch fire! :O

No, they are grown-arse men. But when they were teenagers I got told how awesome (back then the word was gnarly) and intelligent and talented they were. The accomplished came after they started contributing to society. Second sentence makes no sense.

Recipes: Beef stew! Cannot make a decent beef stew.

Oh, lawdy. I want so much to answer "Take 'em outside and squirt 'em with a hose" to that thread.

Yes MrsX.. mine is pot roast. My MIL can seemingly take any cut of beef and turn out a roast that falls apart in your mouth. And pie....my pie last night was not too bad. I think my crust issue was not enough water in the dough....it's one of those things I want to be good at but I just can't be making pies every week. I'd be huge.

Funny you mentioned that! I was going to say I want a shower head more like a hose that has the trigger on the top to stop the flow of water while you are washing the baby but I can't be bothered to answer. Its his homework and I do not want him patenting my ideas!
