Oh, sorry. I thought you said you wanted to get him something extra special.

ETA - zip lining here is about $40.

Not a problem - not offended or anything....I did want to get him something....more than just the concert tix that were a week ago...something to unwrap..that might be something kinda neat...I just don't know what in the world that would be. When DD turned 18 she knew specifically what she wanted (a small tattoo that she'd been planning for quite awhile). We just gave her the cash for that.....she was already away at school. DS is still home, has a job, has gadgets...and nothing he specifically wants that is not expensive or just not what we're doing now...hard to explain...sorry...I do appreciate the thoughts though...can definitely be used for future reference...

That's not bad...I was thinking it was substantially more than that. I haven't heard of people doing that around here but they may....I will look into it...

mm - the main one here - down in Durango, is $499 per person. I just went and looked because I had heard it's incredible, but expensive.

That includes the train ride from Durango there - I think it might be the only way to get there. You can't drive to the zip line.

We've done zip lines in Mexico and it was amazing.

I take that back - you can helicopter in as well. That's only $980 and hour.

LOL - I just looked and you can also do a zipline/rafting thing down at Royal Gorge - starting at $139 pp....I've seen it down in Mexico and it did look amazing and totally fun...I just hadn't ever heard of it here...I looked a couple of places and it's still "Aspen"..."Vail" etc...

MM: Find out where No Kudzu's daughter went for "that" birthday party. Son climbs over the fence. "Free" 18th birthday present.

You're welcome, lol.

I can never tell with that OP - lots of sarcasm and snark, sometimes very, very funny. I'm wondering if it was to mock the threads on whether the moon landing was real, whether US History as taught in school is real, etc.

Well, there's only one solution: It's time to go shopping! Shopping solves all problems!

I'll safely not spend money there but at least I can daydream about furniture to go with the new floor!
Aw, Hopes - way to find the silver lining. I just wanted to say you're such a good mom.

Hope you had fun shopping! Window shopping for expensive things is one of my favorites!

There are some real doozies over there recently. I think more than a few people are off their meds...though I've been chastened by two separate posters recently on how medicine and psychiatry are giant conspiracies with vague aims of world domination and citizen submission? I think that's the point? Hard to tell through all the foaming at the mouth...
