I wanted to have kids because I loved my husband and saw creating a new life together as an extension of that love.

I've never really thought of having children as being selfish. Children take so much more from you than they give (at least in the early years) that having children and raising them well is the least selfish thing a person can do.

Honest answer? Like may other decisions in my life, all I can say is "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

Having my kids wasn't the smartest thing I ever did, but it was absolutely the best.

Discuss.
Great question for people who bash infertile people for wanting to use artificial reproductive methods.

Well, reality was that number one was an accident, wife on birth control. Number two was an accident, who would have though birth control would fail twice? Number three ended up being somewhat planned.

If I wanted to give an altruisitc answer, it would be that the world needs more beautiful people and my wife and I happen to make very beautiful children...

People who have failed birth control--you realize it doesn't work if you are taking medications or anything, right?

Untrue for condoms. I managed to get pregnant with a condom and then while on the pill...no medication at all

Of course, what we didn't know was that my wife had some wacked out hormones that resulted in the pill occasionally promoting feritility, not preventing it, lol.
