Of course a bowl of cerial is breakfast.
low gi.
filling.
full of fiber.
remember it is eaten with milk which I think is dairy. (Used to come from cows when I was a kid).

People should learn to like hunger. Fasting from time to time is good for the body and the soul.

It is quite possible to keep them fed without cooking three times a day. My kids eat super healthy but I rarely cook more than one hot meal a day. Cereal or yogurt for breakfast. Sandwiches or leftovers for lunch. I usually cook dinner at home. All three kids are well fed. My youngest is a little chubby (5'1', 120 lb) my other two are not chubby at all. I assume my youngest will grow out of his slight chubbiness as his older brother was also a little chubby prior to puberty.

Exactly!!! C'mon people - it's not hard to cook a decent meal for our kids in the morning. For instance, this morning, we had chili-cheese fries. How hard is it to throw a bunch of fries into a bowl with a chunk of velveeta and some hormel and microwave? Done in 90 seconds!

Why the heck would you give them a bowl of oatmeal or whole grain Cheerios and milk when you can just as easily serve them that?????

For lunch, we're having wholesome fried ramen roll ups! Another healthy 90 second masterpiece!! Happy Meals be d*mned!!!

Now that is a good parent. You are making me look bad. I could never keep up with your perfect parenting skills.

In all honesty, we like to feed our daughter Troll Soup with a fine Chianti on the side.

Nothing like a Pop Tart, hot out of the toaster, to send them off on their day with a little zip in their systems.
Pssst-- you forgot the Red Bull chaser.

Do both parents have to cook three meals a day to be good parents? If one parent does all the cooking, is the other one off the hook?
