Wait a minute; it costs 24,000 dollars just to choose the gender of your baby? For god sakes, what is this world coming to? I'm all for gender selection, but this is outrageous. I bet you she could have found doctors in some european or asian country that would have done it for under 10 grand. Everything is more expensive in the US and not necessarily for a good reason.

When we decided to adopt, we thought we would just have one child. I know what a wonderful relationship I have with my mom and I wanted to experience the same thing. SO we requested a girl. Once our first was here, we decided to adopt a second. For this one, we said either gender was fine. We got another girl. My dream in life was always to have 2 girls . However, if I were biologically having children, I would let nature take its course. One benefit of adoption, though, is that we could choose.
